Mount Rinjani Lake and Hot Spring Trek start from Senaru Village and finish in Senaru village, camp at Senaru crater rim, 2641 meters above sea level and Segara Anak Lake (2000M). The trip featuring forestry trek trail, open grassland savanna views, Segara Anak Lake and Gunung Baru views from crater rim and hot spring
Transfers in Lombok for all programs can be from the airport, Senggigi or gili.
DAY 01
Early pick up from Senggigi at 5.00 am and then transfer to Senaru village (2 hour’s drive). After breakfast at 7.30 am trekking starts from the Senaru starting point ( 600 m ) The first part of trek will be a steep walk up through thick tropical forest. This is rich with flora and fauna. There is plenty of bird life, black monkeys, wild pig and, if you are lucky, wild deer. There is also a large variety of wild plants like orchid, fern, and many more wild tropical plants. After 2 hours walk the first stop is by POS 01. We have 15 minutes rest here before we continue walking up to POS 02. This takes another 2 hours walk. Here we have another 15 minutes break before we have a steeper trek to POS 03 and this takes us 2,5 hours . Here we stop for lunch. After lunch we walk up through open grassland to the crater rim ( 2700 m ) We will arrive here at 5.30 pm in time to see the sunset over Mount Agung on Bali. We set up camp and stay overnight. Dinner is served at 7.30 pm.
DAY 02
After breakfast at 7.30 am we walk down to the lake side (2000 m). The route is steep and rocky and you have to be careful and pay extra attention. Your guide is there to assist you. The walk going down to the lake side will take 3 hours. The path is adorned by edelweiss plants. The rest of the day is spent on the lake side relaxing, swimming in the lake or going on a pilgrimage to the hot spring (which is believed to have healing powers). Lunch is served at 13.00 pm. In the afternoon at 15.00 pm we leave the lake side for Sembalun crater rim. This will take us 3 hours walk, and we arrive there at 18.00 pm, Dinner serve at 19.30 pm and we stay over night here.
DAY 03
After breakfast at 7.30 am we will leave the lake side for the Senaru crater rim and this will take us 3.5 hours walk. Here we stop for 15 minutes for a drink. We then walk back down to Senaru village through open grassland and then in the shade of the thick tropical rain forest. We pass POS 03 (2 hours) and past POS 02 (2 hours). We will stop at POS 01 for lunch. After lunch we walk gently down to Senaru point. From there we transfer back to Senggigi or your next destination,
