Lombok is world known for it’s quality of handy crafts but unknown by place of origin. There are many unique and interesting treasures for the avid shopper. Most of handicraft are produced in the villages. Which is specialize in particular craft. Both a culture experience and a shopping excursion. This tour give a chance to visit some of this village and see the process of production as well as purchase the good available.
Leave from from your hotel at 09.00 traveling long beautiful country side and the rice field into the village. The first craft village encounter is Gunung Sari specializa in art of bamboo craft. Heading east you will reach sayang-sayang village this region is home for wood carving, antique furniture called Cukli, mask, statue and others. On the way to other village we visit Lingsar temple unique and most important temple for Muslem wetu TELU and Hindu Lombok. The nearby village is Nyiurbaya specialize in basket craft using weeds for intricate shape and design (they used ketak or forest grass and rotan material). After ward driving through the open rice field view and see drama of daily activity of local farming before we arrived in Sukarara village for it’s fantastic work for hand weaving (songket and ikat) you may see and experience how every women here wave in their house. Than to Banyumulek specialize in decorative pottery from clay with woven fibre and traditional Urns and Water Flaks, you will be able to see the creation and process as well as purchase some, one more stop in Selagalas for the best Pearl quality bend in gold or silver before return to your hotel
